  1. Dependency on Third-Party Components

Netadmin relies on third-party components, including both commercial and open-source software, as part of its runtime environment and within the features and functions of its system. These components may include database management systems, authentication services, logging frameworks, and various software libraries essential for security, performance, and interoperability. These components are essential for the operation of Netadmin products.

  2. Scope of Product Support

The product support provided by Netadmin applies to the functionality of Netadmin products as a whole. This includes ensuring that the products perform according to their intended purpose and that their features and tools continue to operate as expected. However, Netadmin does not provide direct support for third-party components unless explicitly stated in the product support agreement.

  3. Disclosure of Third-Party Components

For each product release, Netadmin provides a list of the third-party components and their respective versions used in that specific release. This information is disclosed to maintain transparency regarding the dependencies of the system.

  4. Right to Modify Third-Party Components

Netadmin reserves the right to replace, remove, or modify any third-party components used in its products at any time. Such changes may occur for various reasons, including but not limited to:

    • Addressing known security vulnerabilities.
    • Fixing software bugs or defects.
    • Replacing outdated versions.
    • Enhancing system functionality by adopting newer alternatives.

Any restrictions on such modifications will be outlined in the applicable product support agreement.

  5. Impact of Third-Party Component Changes

New product releases are expected to include updated versions of third-party components. These updates may introduce changes that could affect dependent components. Consequently, Netadmin generally does not recommend utilizing third-party components for system customizations or external use without prior explicit consent from Netadmin.

  6. Responsibility for Product Function and Security

Netadmin is committed to maintaining and supporting the functional integrity and performance of its products. Security is a top priority, and any known security issues in third-party components or internally developed components will be thoroughly analyzed and mitigated as appropriate. In some cases, addressing security flaws may necessitate a new release of Netadmin product. In some cases, addressing security flaws in 3rd party components require new updates or releases of said components by their respective vendor, which is beyond Netadmin possibility to influence.

  7. Limitations of Third-Party Component Oversight

While Netadmin makes reasonable efforts to ensure that existing third-party components remain functional, its oversight capabilities regarding changes in such components are inherently limited. Netadmin does not actively monitor all updates to later versions of third-party components unless such changes are reported directly to the company by customers, partners, or relevant stakeholders through designated support channels.

  8. Mitigation of Third-Party Component Issues

Netadmin will, within reasonable effort, attempt to mitigate issues arising from third-party components, including but not limited to:

    • Security vulnerabilities.
    • Software bugs or defects.
    • Outdated functionality causing system issues.

Mitigation measures may include updating the third-party component to a newer version or replacing it with an alternative component to ensure the continued intended function of the product. Decisions regarding such updates or replacements are based on factors such as security vulnerabilities, compatibility with existing system architecture, impact on functionality, and feasibility of continued support. Netadmin evaluates these aspects carefully to minimize disruptions while maintaining product integrity.

  9. Handling Unresolvable Issues

If Netadmin determines that it is not feasible to address a reported issue within a specific product version — due to breaking changes or other factors — Netadmin reserves the right to implement necessary changes in a subsequent Short-Term Support (STS) or Long-Term Support (LTS) release. Customers may be required to upgrade to a newer version to receive the necessary fixes. For customers who are unable to upgrade immediately, Netadmin may provide best-effort guidance on mitigating issues, temporary workarounds, or security advisories to ensure continued functionality until an upgrade is feasible.

  10. Continuous Evolution of Third-Party Dependencies

The Netadmin product integrates multiple external components, which may release updates at any time. Netadmin follows a structured review process to anticipate and manage these updates, assessing their impact on functionality, security, and system stability to ensure seamless integration. In some cases, these updates may necessitate a new release of the Netadmin product to maintain compatibility and security.
